[US Senate] Multiple Senators Urge IRS to Promote Educational Assistance Programs

In a recent post on the senate’s government website, senators Mark Warner (D-VA), and John Thune (R-SD) urged the IRS to promote educational assistance programs like Student Loan Repayment. The piece highlights the 2020 legislation allowing employers to offer the benefit tax-free through section 127, along with the impact these benefits could have on key HR metrics for employers.

Peanut Butter was proud to partner with Senators Warner and Thune when they introduced the Employer Participation in Repayment Act and is proud to support clients with sample section 127 plan documentation, loan verification, enrollment support, and more, to help them attract talent faster, retain talent longer, and improving gender & cultural diversity by offering Student Loan Assistance.
