Peanut Butter is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Technical Product Manager to manage the evolution of our Student Loan Assistance platform and help drive growth.

In this position, you will be equal parts product owner and engineering manager. As a product owner, you’ll refine the product roadmap, define epics and user stories, work with our developers to estimate work, then scope sprints, estimate timelines, and schedule releases. As an engineering manager, you’ll lead the development scrum, mentor and review code for our engineers, architect and operate our platform and business systems, and manage system security.

All in all, you’ll influence product direction, implement code, work with a great team, and drive integration with various systems.

Here’s what you’d do:

  • Work closely with our CEO to strategize the company’s technical direction
  • Own features and products from end to end
  • Examine customer pain points and market opportunities to come up with solutions
  • Prioritize product planning and development work to achieve business objectives
  • Articulate and design customer experiences that make our users happy
  • Plan and manage system architecture
  • Develop features for performance, scale, and security
  • Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems
  • Oversee all workflow related to Epic definition, Story Grooming, Development Sprints, and Releases
  • Conduct UAT to ensure that features are released to spec
  • Deploy releases
  • Address bugs; write and update code as needed
  • Ensure that tech standards and best practices are met, while closely managing expenditures
  • Monitor web analytics and make recommendations that align with business goals
  • Monitor performance profiling tools and procedures
  • Maintain network security and disaster/emergency recovery plans
  • Define company standards for systems, equipment, and software
  • Share technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
  • Study current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
  • Ensure the company’s technological processes and services comply with laws and regulations

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or similar field
  • 4 – 8 years of technical product management experience
  • Proven track record of product launches
  • To be entrepreneurial, driven, and passionate
